Living with Hypothyroidism: My 2025 Health Update & Best Supplements
I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to revisit and update my personal journey with hypothyroidism. When I first shared my story in 2023, I was still in the thick of discovering what worked best for my body. Now, two years later, I’ve gained even more insights, tried new approaches, and continued my quest for healing. If you’re struggling with hypothyroidism, know that I see you, and I’ve been where you are. It’s an uphill battle, but I promise—you have the strength to navigate this journey and find what works for you.

The Diagnosis and Initial Struggles
When I was first diagnosed, it felt like everything in my life had shifted. The overwhelming fatigue, unexplained weight gain, and constant brain fog made even the simplest tasks feel like climbing a mountain. I knew I had to take control of my health, but I also realized that managing hypothyroidism wasn’t as simple as just taking a pill.
Embracing a Holistic Approach
Over time, I learned that true healing required more than just medication. I started prioritizing my diet, focusing on stress management, and incorporating natural supplements into my routine. By combining a holistic approach with traditional treatments, I was able to regain energy, balance my hormones, and feel like myself again.
My Updated Supplement Routine for 2025
If you’ve followed my journey, you know that I’ve been a huge advocate for natural supplements that support thyroid health. While I still stand by my past recommendations, I’ve made some updates to my routine that have made a noticeable difference in my energy levels, metabolism, and overall well-being.
Ashwagandha – Nature’s Stress Buster

Ashwagandha remains a staple in my supplement routine. As an adaptogen, it has helped me manage stress (which is crucial for thyroid health!) and support hormone balance. I still use Global Healing’s Ashwagandha, and I can’t recommend it enough! I have recommended this supplement too many times, I can’t even count! Thyroid Health Bundle
One of the biggest upgrades to my supplement routine has been incorporating Global Healing’s Thyroid Health Bundle, which includes Selenium, Vitamin B12, and Detoxadine (nascent iodine).

- Selenium is an essential trace mineral that plays a huge role in thyroid function. It helps reduce inflammation and supports the conversion of T4 into the active T3 hormone.
- Vitamin B12 is a game-changer for energy levels. Many people with hypothyroidism (myself included) struggle with B12 deficiencies, which can contribute to fatigue, brain fog, and mood imbalances. Supplementing with a high-quality B12 has made a significant difference in my daily energy.
- Detoxadine (Nascent Iodine) has been instrumental in supporting my thyroid function. Unlike regular iodine, nascent iodine is highly absorbable and helps maintain optimal thyroid hormone levels.
Since incorporating this bundle into my routine, I’ve noticed an incredible improvement in my energy, mental clarity, and metabolism. It’s amazing how powerful these small changes can be when supporting thyroid health!

Looking back on my journey, I can confidently say that I am in a much better place than I was in 2023. While managing hypothyroidism is an ongoing process, I now have the tools, knowledge, and support system to navigate it with confidence.

By combining medication with holistic healing, I’ve been able to reclaim my energy. I no longer feel like I’m constantly running on empty, and I can engage in activities I once thought were impossible.

My Message to You
To anyone out there struggling with hypothyroidism, please know that healing is possible. It may take time, trial and error, and lots of patience—but don’t give up. Seek out the support that you need, experiment with different approaches, and most importantly, listen to your body.
